Get around without problems with the anti-traffic city bike.
A very lightweight bike with an aluminum frame, resistant and easy to control, and with internal cable routing that protects from bad weather. Would you like to move with agility and having to worry about social distancing in public transport? Trek Bike, one of America’s largest high-end bike companies, has offered anti-traffic solutions since 1976. For the company founders, Richard Burke and Bevil Hogg, the bike means life. They began their adventure in a barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
The anti-traffic city bike is called District 1
To call District 1 just an ordinary bicycle is really limiting. It is a solution for travel designed to give the rider the best possible experience. District 1 bike is an elegant and low maintenance bike, but what makes it excellent is its technical characteristics.
It is equipped with intuitive and easy-to-use internal gears that allow you to change them even when you’re not pedaling: an ideal solution in the city when traffic forces you to stop and move again. District 1 features assisted pedaling thanks to a Bosch Active Line motor (250W, 40Nm) that delivers the power required to reach cruising speed of 25 km/h smoothly and progressively. The use of the motor can be adjusted via the backlit display, which has a tachometer indicating maintenance intervals and battery life. Regulator design allows you to choose the ideal power assistance without having to take your hand off the handlebars. Hydraulic disc brakes and the extra-wide tires provide extra stability. And, finally, the grips are ergonomic, as befits a traffic and fatigue-free city bike!
For the perfect fitness and leisure time solution…
If you want to move from the city to go to rough terrain, there is the all-rounder, as it has a 500 Wh long-life battery hidden in the Alpha Gold aluminum frame, RIB (Removable Integrated Battery) system. For those who want a fantastic new generation MBT, the Trek Rail has no boundaries, because it has the new fourth-generation Bosch motor, ideal for conquering the summit and enjoying the descent.
The real novelty of this model is the motor: it is lighter, silent, and more efficient, with more autonomy per charge. What’s more, Trek technicians have worked a miracle on the pedals. In fact, the bike is smart in the sense that it adjusts the pedal assistance contribution automatically according to the terrain, thus ensuring the right amount of energy.
Anti-traffic city bike with functions that make life easier!
The geometry of the frame makes it easier to ride Trek’s city bike. It has a controller called Purion and is equipped with a Walk Assist feature that helps you quickly push your bike out of parking lots and cellars. There is also a range of batteries available, with a choice of 300, 400, or 500 Wh. The Trek team anticipates every user’s needs because the founders have always seen the bike as a simple solution to complex problems and as a way to improve life on the planet. It’s no coincidence that the company produces over one and a half million bikes a year on all five continents!
