The innovative long-term rental service expands the smart mobility product portfolio. Swapfiets aims at becoming a key player for subscription-based micro-mobility.
Swapfiets is the world’s first long-term bike rental company. Founded in 2014 in the Netherlands, it has rapidly grown to become one of the leading smart mobility providers in Europe, with a total of over 220,000 members across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy and the UK by early 2021. This spring, Swapfiets expanded into Spain (Barcelona), Austria (Vienna) and the French cities of Lyon, Nantes, Strasbourg and Toulouse. Swapfiets’ concept is simple: for a monthly subscription fee, users receive a bicycle or electric smart mobility vehicle for personal use. If needed, a service is available on-demand within 48 hours to repair or replace the vehicle at no additional cost.
Smart mobility: Swapfiets launches e-Scoot
Swapfiets continues its commitment to improve the quality of smart urban mobility and make cities more livable and human-friendly. To meet the different needs of users and respond to the growing demand for zero-emission electric vehicles, the innovative long-term rental service with the iconic blue front wheel completes its product range and launches the e-Scoot on the Italian market. Swapfiets makes available to the community a smart subscription for electric scooters that includes service assistance within 48h.
Swapfiets aims to become a reference player for smart urban mobility with a subscription.
From sport bikes to e-bikes, from scooters to electric mopeds; Swapfiets members can choose the most suitable means of transport with which to move around the city, according to the different requirements of use and distances to go.
For its new electric scooter, Swapfiets has chosen the NIU Nqi sport model, available from €119.50 per month. With a maximum speed of 45 km / h and 70 km of autonomy, the e-Scoot is approved for two passengers and is an agile and effective alternative to the private car for daily trips of medium to short-range, as well as an excellent solution to connect the city center to the suburbs. To use it, you must have a driving license and be at least 21 years old. Charging is convenient and practical in up to 7 hours by simply plugging the removable battery into a domestic outlet.
The website www.swapfiets.it and the app (available on Google Play and Apple App Store) provide a detailed and up-to-date overview of the availability of each product and pricing for the different cities where the service is available.
