What is our biggest limit? Raising too many (often non-existing) problems, and giving up the things we would like to do because we are afraid of failing. In short, sometimes we ourselves are our biggest problem. But every now and then this pattern breaks and we ask ourselves: Why Not (?), Why shouldn’t I do this thing? and we don’t find relevant downsides.
This is the consideration that Nike shares with all its members, once again wanting to inspire and encourage them to achieve their goals, without setting limits. Thus a contest, which will be open from February 25 to March 3, was born. The brand invites its community to tell about that moment in which, they were driven by the “why not?” force, and took a step towards achieving their dreams and ambitions.
Matteo Marchi told us about his “Why not?” too
Matteo was the first of all Italian photographers to have entered the most coveted field by professionals in the basketball world, that of the NBA, and he perfectly embodies the never settle mindset. Even with no certainties? Yes, but also with nothing to lose. The important thing is to try to achieve your goals.
Matteo started from national events, and then he started to be invited at the most important international sporting events. The photographer was spurred on by that “Why Not?” which often leads to risky steps, but which is able to get you to the top, right where no one had gone before. The secret was never to forget his dream and, in the end, he achieved success.

He has had the opportunity to photograph the greatest basketball players of all time, literally going to the basketball court with them and absorbing the emotion and determination that only the greatest players, Russell Westbrook above all, are able to convey.
From this day, following the invitation of Nike and Matteo, everyone will be able to participate in the contest on the Nike App, sharing their experience. The best answers will be rewarded with a photo of Russell Westbrook taken and signed by Matteo Marchi.
